There is currently a petition underway to get the U. S. Postal Service to issue a "Alzheimer's Research" stamp. The stamp will be used to to raise awareness of Alzheimer's and to raise funds for Alzheimer's research.
The petition has over 80,000 signatures so far but needs as many as it can get to demonstrate the need and public support for the stamp.
The petition also has a section where you can add your own personal story to send to the Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee.
